Organize and maintain focus groups as required.Assist the Superintendent in gathering public opinion about the school district to develop programs to promote strong public relations.Assist in crisis communication in conjunction with the Director of Safety and Security and serve as a member of the district Crisis Management Team.
Assist the Superintendent in developing communications material.Distribute and release news about the Board and school district activities to various news media, interested community members and school community that is approved by the Superintendent of Schools.Attend Board of Education caucus and action meetings, writing and publishing Board highlights and summaries and meeting actions, including an FYI section.This position will also oversee the district Videographer, and will support Superintendent, Media & Website, Publications, and Central Office functions. The District is currently hiring a Director of Communications & Policy who will report directly to the Superintendent of Schools.
